Show Description
Based on Maya Angelou’s poem “On the Pulse of the Morning” and featuring the music of Michael Sweeney’s Rock, River, Tree, Down to the River to Pray, and traditional hymn Let There Be Peace, A New Dawn takes the listener on a journey of hope and inspiration. The show progresses from the poetic symbolism of the Rock in Rock, River, Tree to the River in Down to the River to Pray, and then the Tree in the closing Let There Be Peace and culminates with a mashup of themes and a “bright new morning dawning for you.”
